We recently purchased a Treager Grill. It is a wood pellet smoker and grill. Before this beauty we had a basic gas grill. Good for cooking outside and not having to heat up the house in the summer. Now we are enjoying the flavorful experience of having the grill enhance our eating experience. So time for lots of new grilling ideas.
Because the Treager has an internal fan it cooks like a convection oven. Flipping becomes optional. (just so you know not flip, flip flipping is hard to do)
Back to the burger, take a big ball of ground beef and squish it into a patty with a beer can (a bottle works too) and form the excess up the side of the can/bottle making a beef bowl. Fill that beef bowl with yumminess, I put onion, mushroom and some basil. The for extra decadence wrap that bowl of lusciousness in bacon (it takes 2 strips and a couple of toothpicks) then toss it on a hot grill for about 30 min and enjoy!
Oh add the cheese a few min before its done and grab a large bun, two hands and open wide.
